School Uniform
St Joseph's school uniform should be worn with pride on all occasions. It is the collective responsibility of all to ensure the Code of dress requirements apply to every student.
Girls' Uniform
Formal
Dress – Princess line with concealed pocket on right-hand side. School emblem on front right with zipper at back OR Bottle green and white checked jack shirt, pocket with school emblem, worn over bottle green skorts which have the school name.
Sport
Shirt – Bottle green and white polo shirt with school emblem, to be worn over shorts.
Shorts – Bottle green with school name.
Boys' Uniform
Formal
Shirt – Bottle green and white checked jack shirt, pocket with school emblem, worn over bottle green shorts which have the school name.
Shorts – Bottle green with school name.
Sport
Shirt – Bottle green and white polo shirt with school emblem, to be worn over shorts. Shorts – Bottle green with school name.
Prep Uniform
Shirt – Prep polo shirt.
Shorts – Bottle green shorts with school name.
Other Uniform Items (Whole School)
Socks – Short, plain, white, quarter crew socks - not anklets.
Shoes (Formal Uniform) – All black leather shoes or joggers (no white/coloured trimmings).
Shoes (Sports Uniform) – All black joggers (no white/coloured trimmings).
Hat – Bottle green (with school emblem) reversible hat with house colour.
Winter – Bottle green cardigan, sloppy joe or windcheater. Bottle green tights/track pants.
Other Items
Jewellery – permitted
- Watch – NO smart watches. Fitbit watches with no internet connectivity are acceptable.
- Religious necklace (crucifix/holy medal) to be removed while undertaking physical activity.
- Earrings – one earring per ear. All earrings must be studs or small sleepers which are plain. No large sleepers, colourful earrings or dangling earrings.
- Jewellery that indicates a medical alert.
Hair
The School Administration reserves the right to insist that children wear their hair with an appropriate (modest) style, cut and colour which is to be kept neat and tidy at all times. Long hair for both girls and boys should be tied back and kept off the face. Short hair styles should be no closer than a number four cut/shave.
Hair – permitted
- Hair attire such as ribbons and scrunchies must be bottle green or white in colour. Prep students may wear a red/green/yellow hair ties or ribbon to match the school prep polo shirt. Elastic ties can be green, black, brown or white in colour.
Hair – not permitted
- Hairstyles which draw attention to the student, dreadlocks, mullets, rats’ tails, undercuts and shaving patterns of any form.
- Coloured hair, unless it is a single natural colour (no streaks, tips, bleached hair).

- Coloured nail polish
- Make-up
